Unless you are roaming, the easiest way to change your Sympatico e-mail and news settings is to use the automatic method.

However, you may need to manually set up your Sympatico software to retreive e-mail and/or read newsgroups if you find yourself in one of the following situations:

• You want to retrieve and send e-mail from a different Sympatico dialup location (also known as roaming).
• You know that you have only lost one or two parts of your Sympatico software settings.
• You want to use unsupported non-Sympatico software (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Eudora) with your Sympatico service access.
• You want to set up your computer to connect to the Sympatico service as well as to a LAN (Local Area Network).
